What is the Difference in "Treks & Trips" and Excursions
Treks & Trips are designed for families seeking full day childcare - 7am-6pm - and are led & facilitated by Connect Academy for Children's licensed, childcare staff. Summer Camp Excursions are summer fun camps and/or technique-based day camps facilitated by Empire Kids' Staff & Department Leaders.
Does my child have to be enrolled in the Full Time Summer Camp Program to attend a Summer Camp Excursion?
No - any child can attend any program - checkout all the options below: Option #1: Enroll only in the 'Treks & Trips' full day childcare program. Option #2: Enroll only in Summer Camp Excursions. Option #3: Enroll in 'Treks & Trips' and add Summer Camp Excursions whenever it fits your child's interests. Option #4: Enroll in Summer Camp Excursions and utilize before/after care on your excursion day(s). (see process below)
If my child is already attending 'Treks & Trips' full day program but wants to enroll in an excursion for two days of the week, how does that work?
Great question - we make this one easy for you. Register your child for the Day Camp or Full Week at Connect. Receive your 50% off discount code for Empire Kids. Then, enroll in the Excursions of your choice. Drop your child off at Connect for their regularly scheduled day. Before the group departs for their daily trek or trip, your child will be escorted to Empire for their Summer Excursion. Excursions end approximately the same time the treks and trips return to the campus. At the end of your child's Summer Excursion, they will be escorted back to Connect for the remainder of the day.
Is there a discount if my child wants to add an Excursion to their schedule?
Yes - if your child already attends Connect's 'Treks & Trips' full day childcare program, you can add-on any Summer Excursion (Empire Summer Camps) for 25% Off the Summer Excursion price. Note: Your child must attend Connect’s ‘Treks & Trips’ full day childcare program the week of any Summer Excursion.
